Tibetian Yak

Originally from tibet yaks are one of the first domesticated animals known to humans. They are dorcile, wonderful for cold northern winters and are easy maintence. The purposes of a yak are truely endless however here are a few 

 

Fiber

One of the highest quality fibers in the world yak fiber is highly prized for softness, staple lenngth, and luxorious feel they are truely a handspinners dream.

 

Meat

Yak meat is very lean(mostly under 10% fat yet very tasty and unique in flavor.. Our yaks are 100% grass fed. No antibiotics, growth horomes or feed lots. When we say 100% grass fed we mean that all they eat.

 

Milk

Yak milk is of high quality and has a high solid count at around 17% and a fat content of around 7%. The milk can be made into butter, tibetian style Hard Swiss-style Gruyére, and many other dairy products.
